(Los Alamitos, 2/1/2012)   It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for our weekly post where you can report and/or comment on items of interest you come across in any of our local media.

On the News Enterprise front, not only did this morning’s paper include a lengthy article on Monday night’s City Council meeting,  along with Griffin sports news,  it also alerted us to the paper’s growing web presence with their new Facebook page Facebook.com/NewsEnterprise.  If you go there now and like it, not only will you get whatever news they post on your Facebook news feed, but you’ll also get a chance to win a free entry to this month’s Race on the Base!   I was only the 4th entrant when I just liked it, so I’d say your odds are pretty good.

This will also let you  engage directly with News Enterprise editors and other readers via their posts. Publisher Lon Wahlberg has indicated there are plans to launch their sister news site, www.newsenterprise.net in the near future.

Please briefly describe what caught your eye before commenting  diplomatically, & please include a brief topic in place  of your “name,”  giving your real name or handle in the comment itself.

So, your 9 year old daughter has a facebook page?? Someone call child protective services! I thought you needed to be at least 13 years of age to have a fb page. So, you lied for your daughter.
