(Los Alamitos, 1/19/2012) Written and photographed by Diane, Los Al Resident : “Untouchables,” a LifeTime movie featuring Rob Lowe flimed in Rossmoor last summer  airs this Saturday,  Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (January 21, 22, 23, & 24, 2012,  at  8 p.m. each night on Lifetime & Lifetime HD (140 & 640 on Fios).

The movie is based on the story of   Drew Peterson, who is charged with the death of his third wife after the mysterious disappearance of his fourth wife.

Many residents of Rossmoor and Los Alamitos witnessed last summer’s filming of this Lifetime Movie for television.  The movie  is based on the true story of  Drew Peterson, not to be confused with Scott Peterson.

The movie was filmed in a Rossmoor culdsac very similar to the one that the real Drew Peterson lived in.  The Photo on on the motorcycle was taken on Monticeto next to Rossmoor school.  Also very close to the arrest scene.

I enjoyed many days of watching the production.  Different houses and rooms on the cul-de-sac were used to depict the suburban area of Iowa where the real life drama unfolded.

During the production Drew Peterson tried to stop the production of the film.  The Movie is based on book by Joseph Hosey.

If you watch the movie, besides the Rossmoor scenes you will also notice Rob Lowe at night in a Police car filming at the Rossmoor Car Wash.

The cast and crew were very neighborly and invited the public to watch the filming that lasted three to four weeks.  Much of the filming took place on Edgeley Street and the actors and crew  parked their trailers on Silverfox Street in Rossmoor.

If you get a chance watch it I’m sure you will recognize the scenery or drive by Edgeley street where Rob Lowe and cast used many of the homes on this street.   Happy viewing!

Storyline:

In May 2010, after Stacy’s mysterious disappearance, Peterson seemingly basked in the attention from the national media while denying any connection to Stacy’s disappearance.

But after following up on tips from a neighbor, authorities arrested Peterson and indicted him for the murder of his previous wife, Kathleen. Her 2004 death — Kathleen was found drowned in an empty bathtub — had been initially ruled an accident, but upon exhumation and second forensic examination, that was changed to homicide.

Peterson is currently in prison awaiting trial.
