(Los Alamitos, CA)  Got an e-mail last week that I only got around to opening up today.  It was a link to a USA Today video on last week’s storms that I think you’ll find quite interesting.

It starts out with aLong Beach resident describing the storms, but pretty soon there’s a familiar face–a Los Alamitos Council woman busy filling sand bags as part of her involvement with a emergency volunteer force.

Check it out:

USA Today on So Cal Storms

The whole video’s only about a minute, and the part about Los Al’s Council member is in the middle.

Regardless of your politics, I say good for her, huh?  Nice to see a positive report on a Los Alamitos Council Member in USA Today!

Say what you will about Councilwoman Mejia.

She may not attend those smoozie lunchons, but you can count on her when it’s important.
She a real person who cares deeply about the community she has lived in her entire life.

    Thanks..Councilwoman Mejia

That’s funny, I thought it was Edgar who was the “Sandbagger”.

It seems that Coucil woman Mejia, doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty.

I guess cuz they did not serve lunch the other council members declined the invitation.
