“Warehousing/Distribution” C.U.P., development of 2 School District sites on Cypress Council Monday Agenda
(9/21/2013, Cypress, California) The agenda for Monday, September 23, 2013, Cypress City Council Meeting is now up, and it sure looks like “full speed ahead” on their efforts to possibly remove two large Cypress School District properties from Measure D’s public/semi-public/ open space requirements.
Most intriguing is yet another closed session on purchasing the Cypress Elementary School District’s headquarters and “Yard” at 8721 Cypress Street. This follows a “Workshop” session featuring a “Presentation by Congressman Alan Lowenthal” which begins at 5:30 in the Executive Conference Room.
Back to Open Session. . .
After the closed door session the Council will reconvene at 7 in the Council Chambers where items 5 – 7 focus on Reimbursement agreements and consultant task force orders relating to the District Headquarters and the former MacKay School Site as follows. Here are the links for the respective Staff Reports.
- Agenda Items 5 & 6: Consideration of a reimbursement agreement with the Cypress School District for planning and environmental costs associated with the development of the Former MacKay School Site and of the Cypress School District Office site.
- Agenda Items 7 & 8: Consideration of a Consultant task order for the preparation of planning and environmental documents for the development of the MacKay School Site and the District Office Site.
More “Warehousing & Distribution”
Before those two items, however, comes a Public Hearing regarding a Conditional Use Permit for a 28,500 square foot “Warehousing and distribution Facility” at 10701 Holder in the BP Business Park Zone.
We plan to have a “Your reporting” post on the Council Meeting up Monday.
