(4/4/2012, Los Alamitos) Lots going on in the local news media, but we’ll start with a  joint meeting tonight of the Parks, Planning, & Traffic Commissions for  what the agenda calls a “mid-way point where a progress update to the Commissions is appropriate.”

But wait. . . there’s more!  Sounds like “light appetizers and deserts” will also be available. . . and the public(Rossmoor & Los Al residents or visitors) is encouraged to attend.

There will also be an opportunity for  Oral Communications to all three combined Commissions at the beginning of the meeting. . . pretty much a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?

7 p.m. tonight, Council Chambers, 3191 Katella.  An excellent chance to find out where our town’s plan for the next 20 years is headed.

Even if you can’t make tonight’s meeting, you should take the time to supply your input from the comfort of your home by taking either:

• The short, five question Public Survey (takes about 2 minutes), or
• The longer version (takes roughly 5 – 10 minutes).

You can also take both, if I’m reading the instructions right.  And if you take the survey (& aren’t a City Employee or Commissioner) you can also win prizes just for taking it, ranging from the quality shirt modeled above to a Kindle Fire!

But the real winner is the community, when all of us put our ideas together!
